Aesthetic Medicine magazine pays a tribute to Dr Rekha Sheth, a pioneer in cosmetic dermatology in India
Dr Rekha Sheth has had many firsts to her credit. She was the trailblazer who conceptualised and opened India’s first beauty clinic in 1994 and was the first to start using Botox, fillers and laser hair removal in India. She also founded the Cosmetology Society of India in 1997, which to this day remains an authority on aesthetic dermatology practice in the country. Dr Sheth who gave her peers and followers a legacy of ethical practice and superior knowledge passed away on 30th January, 2020. Her loss is mourned by the entire fraternity.
Dr Sheth played an instrumental role in the launch of Aesthetic Medicine magazine and show in India in 2019. Our team is highly indebted to her for her confidence in us.
