Aesthetic Medicine India Show arrives with a bang!

Aesthetic Medicine India Expo and Conference brought together the who’s who of the aesthetic medicine practice, from medical practitioners to product and device manufacturers, on a common platform.

Aesthetic Medicine India Show, held on 15th and 16th of September, 2019, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, was applauded for its uniqueness and out-of-the-box approach. The show comprised an expo and a conference, which intelligently combined medical topics with clinic management to give medical practitioners a 360 degree perspective of modern-day aesthetic practice in India.

Part of the Professional Beauty Global Group and the leading industry show and publication for the aesthetic industry in the UK, the success of the first edition of Aesthetic Medicine India show comes in the wake of the launch of the magazine’s Indian edition. In its 8th month of publication, the title is already a well-known name within the fraternity and is appreciated for its well-researched and superior quality content.

The Aesthetic Medicine India Expo witnessed participation by more than 30 brands across categories such as devices and products. The two-day event saw over 1163 visitors attending the expo. The Aesthetic Medicine Conference was attended by around 176 delegates on both days, while more than 44 experts, both from India and abroad, from the domain of aesthetic plastic surgery, aesthetic dermatology, marketing and social media participated in the conference as speakers.

Aesthetic Medicine India Expo is supported and endorsed by Cosmetic Dermatology Society India (CDSI) and the Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (IAAPS). The scientific programme, scheduled on Sunday, 15th September, was curated by Dr Neeta Patel, past-President of IAAPS, with the support of Dr LK Dhami, President, IAAPS. Dr Rekha Sheth, President, CDSI, contributed immensely to the conference with her ideas and unstinting support.

Some of the sessions under the scientific programme included newer trends in botulinum toxin, treating scars non-surgically, combination treatments, PRP in facelifts and hair rejuvenation, use of fat in anti-ageing treatment, facial melanosis, innovations in threads, treating the ageing face chronologically, and many more interesting and inspiring sessions.

Day 1 also had a panel discussions on ‘Recognising and respecting boundaries in aesthetic medicine practice’, which led to a healthy debate amongst the practitioners on the importance of standardization and a governing authority and creating awareness amongst the patients about choosing the right practitioner.

Day 2 of the conference had a plethora of business and clinic managment sessions including staff management, adding non-chemical treatments to your service menu, micro-blading, skin microbiome, non-invasive body contouring treatments, psychological techniques to improving patient satisfaction and others. Panel discussion on Day 2 included choosing the right device and product for your clinic and making the best of social media. These discussions evinced a great response from the delegates as they eagerly asked questions and discussed nuances.

The Aesthetic Medicine India expo successfully achieved its goal of connecting aesthetic practitioners with device and product manufacturers from all over the world. As it showcased latest devices and products from across the segments such as injectables, lasers, devices, skincare, hair, implants and instruments, etc, it created a benchmark for the industry and provided them with a platform for networking, sourcing and learning.
