“We are delighted to conduct our 2022 training programmes in Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi and Indore. These markets hold huge potential for semi-permanent makeup applications. We will soon foray into other regions too in a phased manner. While in many parts of the Western world the segment has already witnessed rapid expansion, it is still in its nascent stage in India. It is our mission to provide the best training and treatments at par with international standards,” Raman Chohan, Founder, Victress Beauty Academy, said.
According to Victress Beauty Academy, there has been a growing demand for permanent makeup (PMU) applications in the Indian market. By 2023, the PMU segment is expected to expand rapidly in India.
What is semi-permanent makeup and how long does it last?
Semi-permanent makeup is also known as cosmetic tattooing or micro-pigmentation, which is gaining traction rapidly in the aesthetics industry. It is a complexion treatment to beautify facial features. This procedure requires injecting pigment into the papillary layer of the dermis, producing lasting and natural-looking results.
Over the years, people have been opting for semi-permanent makeup to enhance their brows, and recent years have witnessed an interest in colouring lips to make them look fuller.
While it takes about a couple of hours for semi-permanent makeup applications, they last for about 12 to 24 months.
