Mumbai witnessed a compelling convergence of art and aesthetics with the unveiling of “Face Is Form”. ACSC partnered with ReachOut Gallery to curate the exclusive, invitation-only art experience.
The event brought together leaders from facial aesthetics, contemporary art, and creative communities. Hosted in Mumbai, the exhibition challenged traditional definitions of beauty and perfection.
Reframing the human face
“Face Is Form” explored the human face as a medium of emotion, identity, and lived experience. The exhibition encouraged audiences to see the face beyond symmetry or cosmetic ideals. Organisers positioned the face as a dynamic canvas shaped by memory, movement, and expression. The evening created meaningful dialogue between scientific precision and artistic interpretation.
Perspectives on balance and individuality
The event opened with a fireside conversation featuring Dr Yash Mehta and artist Dr Gnana. Dr Yash Mehta is a facial plastic surgeon and founder of the Aesthetic and Cosmetic Surgery Clinic. Dr Gnana is a renowned Singapore-based contemporary artist known for experimental visual narratives. Their discussion explored parallels between facial aesthetics and artistic form.
Dr Mehta spoke about balance, restraint, and harmony in facial aesthetic practice. He emphasised preserving individuality rather than pursuing exaggerated transformation. He highlighted ethical responsibility and long-term facial health in aesthetic decision-making. Dr Mehta reinforced the importance of subtlety and respect for natural anatomy.
Art as expression and provocation
Dr Gnana offered a contrasting yet complementary artistic perspective. He encouraged freedom, abstraction, and emotional honesty in representing faces. He described art as a tool to challenge norms and provoke reflection. Together, the speakers demonstrated how science and art influence one another.
Following the conversation, attendees participated in an interactive art workshop. Dr Gnana led the hands-on session focused on facial impressions and creativity. spontaneity. Participants painted and imprinted faces onto tote bags. Each artwork reflected individual emotion, instinct, and personal interpretation.
Creativity through participation
The workshop reinforced the exhibition’s core philosophy of individuality.
Guests actively engaged with materials, colour, and texture. The atmosphere fostered curiosity, conversation, and creative exchange. Attendees connected personal expression with broader aesthetic narratives.
“Face Is Form” extended beyond a traditional art showcase. The exhibition functioned as a platform for dialogue and shared experience. It questioned rigid beauty standards dominating aesthetic conversations. The event promoted depth, authenticity, and emotional resonance.
Guests responded with enthusiasm and thoughtful engagement throughout the evening. Many discussed evolving perceptions of beauty, identity, and self-expression. The event encouraged reflection rather than visual consumption alone.
Strengthening voices in aesthetics and art
The collaboration highlighted ACSC’s evolving role in India’s aesthetic landscape. Founded in 2019, ACSC focuses on ethical and personalised facial treatments. The clinic integrates surgical and non-surgical procedures using USFDA-approved technologies. ACSC prioritises safety, subtlety, and patient-centric outcomes.
ReachOut Gallery continues to champion contemporary artistic voices. Established in 2022, the gallery operates in Mumbai and Nashik. It supports emerging and established artists through exhibitions and workshops. The gallery fosters community engagement and cultural dialogue.
“Face Is Form” concluded as a powerful intersection of creativity and science. The event reaffirmed the face as both form and story. It left a lasting impression on Mumbai’s evolving aesthetic and art scene.
