Entod Pharmaceuticals takes on under-eye aesthetics with Infigo

Entod Pharmaceuticals has joined hands with Mumbai’s Infigo Eyecare Hospitals. Together, they aim to bring a fresh wave of innovation to the treatment of under-eye dark circles and other periorbital aesthetic concerns.

With this collaboration, the focus shifts to an often-overlooked intersection of dermatology and ophthalmology. Periorbital health is an area where science-backed solutions are long overdue.

The periorbital care gap

The skin around the eyes is very delicate and easily affected by dark circles, fine lines, and puffiness. Most common treatments, like creams, do not give long-lasting results. These quick fixes usually do not go deep enough or work where the problem starts, highlighting the need for advanced treatments backed by research.

Nanotechnology in action

Nanotechnology will play an important role in this new approach. It helps the skin absorb ingredients better and releases them slowly over time, making treatments more effective. This partnership will bring these advanced methods into clinics to deliver more reliable and better results.

A common yet under-treated concern

Periorbital hyperpigmentation, or POH, is a common condition that causes dark circles around the eyes. It affects up to 30 per cent of people in India, mostly those with darker skin tones.

POH can be caused by many things like family history, lack of sleep, stress, and too much sun exposure. These dark circles can make a person look tired or older and may lead to low self-confidence or emotional stress.

This condition especially affects women, often making them feel unhappy with the appearance of their under-eye area. That is why experts must develop better and more effective treatments to manage it.

From clinics to communities: Expanding access

Infigo Eyecare Hospitals will start using these new treatments to care for under-eye pigmentation, puffiness, and overall skin health. And the plan goes beyond Mumbai.

Hence, Entod Pharmaceuticals and Infigo Eyecare plan to expand these solutions to more cities. This will help clinics across the country meet the growing demand for advanced under-eye care.
