Teamwork makes the dream work
Various departments worked together well enough for this marathon to be a success. Dr Sameek Bhattacharya, Director Professor and Head of the Department of Burns, Plastic, Maxillofacial, and Microvascular Surgery, stressed the crucial role of the anaesthesia team.
Led by Dr Neerja Banerjee and Dr Rupesh, their contribution was essential to the marathon’s success. Their meticulous planning and careful dedication played a pivotal role in the marathon’s success.
Together, a dedicated team of 17 surgeons executed 24 intricate procedures with remarkable skill. Also, staff from the nursing, technical, and administrative areas helped make sure that the run went smoothly in every way.
Diverse patient profiles and procedures
From 6 to 47 years old, the surgeries helped a diverse group of people. This included 16 adults and 8 minors. Notable surgeries include Bardach’s palatal repair and contracture release with skin grafts for young children and lymphangioma excision surgery for adults.
With each procedure carried out with accuracy, RML Hospital proved its proficiency in managing a wide variety of plastic and reconstructive surgeries.
