DHI Medical Group became the first hair transplant clinic in India to earn accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH). This recognition reflects DHI’s steadfast commitment to patient safety, ethical practices, and international standards of quality care.

Setting a new standard in hair restoration

NABH operates under the Quality Council of India, serving as the country’s leading authority on healthcare accreditation. The board’s mission is to enhance the quality and safety of healthcare services through globally recognised third-party assessments. DHI Medical Group made history by becoming the first hair transplant clinic in India to earn accreditation from NABH.

Ajay Bansal, CEO of DHI Medical Group, described the achievement as a landmark moment for the clinic and India’s hair restoration industry. He emphasised that DHI has consistently focused on patient safety, transparency, and delivering outstanding results.

Raising the bar for quality and patient trust

The hair restoration industry in India is growing rapidly, projected to expand at a CAGR of 17.12% by 2029. However, the sector faces significant variation in service quality and ethical standards. DHI’s NABH accreditation comes at a critical time, offering patients a benchmark of trust and professionalism in a market where quality often varies widely.

DHI meets NABH’s strict criteria by maintaining documented protocols, continuous quality upgrades, and advanced technology integration across clinics. These measures translate into safer, more reliable, and natural-looking results for patients.

Pioneering the DHI™ Technique

DHI’s patented Direct Hair Implantation (DHI™) technique offers natural results through a minimally invasive procedure with quick recovery. DHI™ enables precise follicle implantation without scalp cuts or stitches, ensuring faster healing and higher graft survival rates.

Founded in 1970, DHI Medical Group has pioneered hair restoration across continents. The clinic, registered with the UK’s CQC, established the world’s first Hair Restoration Academy, partnering with top European universities.

DHI revolutionised hair restoration in 2002 by replacing the outdated FUT-Strip method with the FUE technique. It later advanced this innovation into the industry’s gold standard — Direct Hair Implantation (DHI™).
