The IADVL Jammu and Kashmir Branch, in collaboration with Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, successfully organised an innovative workshop. The workshop focused on “Excellence in Aesthetic Injectables”.
The event gathered dermatology experts from across the country and locally to help practitioners improve their skills in aesthetic medicine. The workshop focused on the increasing demand for aesthetic injectables, particularly toxins and fillers.
Moreover, it highlighted safety, effectiveness, and patient satisfaction to ensure that dermatologists in the area are up-to-date with the latest techniques. This was a big step towards safer aesthetic treatments in Jammu and Kashmir, where there hasn’t been a lot of education in dermatology.
Hands-on learning experience
The workshop combined both lectures and hands-on practice. Experienced dermatologists and industry professionals gave informative talks on using aesthetic injectables, covering topics like advanced techniques for toxins and fillers, patient consultation, and achieving natural-looking results.
After the lectures, the workshop shifted to practical sessions, where 60 participants practised their skills. More than 15 patients took part, giving attendees the chance to gain real-world experience with expert guidance. This hands-on practice was key to boosting confidence and improving injectable skills.
A strong commitment to patient care
A major highlight of the workshop was its emphasis on patient safety and achieving the best results. By focusing on these priorities, the event aimed to give dermatologists the tools needed to provide top-quality care.
The well-rounded approach ensured that participants understood the technical details of aesthetic injectables. It also taught them how to manage patient expectations and deliver results that meet their needs. This balance of safety, skill, and patient care helped ensure dermatologists were well-equipped to offer effective and satisfying treatments.
Shaping the future of aesthetic medicine in J&K
This workshop is the first of its kind in Jammu and Kashmir. It opens the door for more initiatives to improve aesthetic dermatology practices in the region. As the demand for aesthetic injectables grows, the workshop demonstrated a strong commitment to quality. It equipped dermatologists with the necessary skills for safe and effective treatments.
The event successfully combined learning, hands-on practice, and a focus on patient care. This ensured that dermatologists in J&K can confidently provide top-quality aesthetic treatments in the future.
