SBC Medical opens hybrid dermatology clinic in Tokyo

SBC Medical Group launches Hada no Aozora Clinic in Tokyo, combining general and aesthetic dermatology to meet rising skin care demand.

SBC Medical Group Holdings is expanding its multi-brand strategy with the launch of “Hada no Aozora Clinic”, set to open in Tokyo on October 1, 2025. This new clinic will follow a hybrid dermatology model, combining insurance-covered general dermatology with private-pay aesthetic treatments. With this strategy, SBC is prepared to meet the rising demand for both preventive and aesthetic skin care.

Meeting the rising demand for aesthetic dermatology

With longer lifespans and an aging population, patients are looking for ways to stay well and maintain a youthful look. Non-surgical aesthetic treatments are seeing particularly rapid growth.

According to the Japanese Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, these procedures increased from 1.62 million in 2017 to 3.06 million in 2024. Their share of all aesthetic treatments also grew, rising from 83 per cent to 88 per cent over the same period. This leads to both a big increase in volume and a clear move towards non-invasive therapy.

From general to aesthetic care

“Hada no Aozora Clinic” is built to meet all kinds of dermatology needs. By combining general, insurance-covered treatments with advanced aesthetic services, SBC provides a welcoming space for both first-time patients and experienced clients. This mixed approach supports the company’s goal of offering high-quality, accessible care to everyone.

Strengthening SBC’s multi-brand portfolio

The new clinic adds to SBC’s existing brands, including NEO SKIN CLINIC and JUN CLINIC. It allows the company to serve both beginner and advanced patients through a tiered approach.

SBC runs more than 250 clinics worldwide and handles over six million patient visits each year. The company uses standardised operations and a low-cost model to keep its clinics efficient.

Driving growth through accessibility

In recent years, demand for aesthetic dermatology has grown significantly. With the launch of Hada no Aozora Clinic, SBC Medical wants to make aesthetic treatments available to all age groups. The clinic will offer a wide range of services to treat different skin concerns.

Hence, with this launch, SBC Medical is expanding its presence in Japan. It is also strengthening its role as a global player in hybrid dermatology and multi-brand aesthetic care.
