Dermatologist, Dr P K Nigam was conferred with a medical fellowship by the National Academy of Medical Sciences. It was another feather of honour in his cap. His awards and accolades are inspiring for the new ones in the field of aesthetic science and dermatology.
The National Academy of Medical Sciences (India) awarded a medical fellowship to Dr P K Nigam, Dermatologist and former director professor of Pt Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur. NAMS National Conference and Convocation hosted the award ceremony. The award ceremony took place in the city of Bengaluru.
MANY ACCOLADES OF DR NIGAM
Dr Nigam had previously received a MAMS Degree from the academy in 2009. The Indian Academy of Dermatology conferred upon him the FIAD Award in 2012. He got another feather in his cap in 2015, when he received FRCP 2015 from the Royal College of Physicians based in Glasgow.
NATIONAL ACADEMY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Pt Jawaharlal Nehru established The National Academy of Medical Sciences in 1961 in Delhi. The academy holds a significant role as an advisor of national health policy for the Government of India.
The national academy has awarded the fellowship to only twenty-five eminent dermatologists over the years. Among the awardees is the prestigious name of a scientist and former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. It speaks volumes about the importance and respect the fellowship carries.
