Puresta raised Rs 34 crore in a pre‑seed round led by Spring Marketing Capital to build its AI platform. The funding positions Puresta as a key player in AI-powered, full-stack dermatology solutions for India’s growing D2C skincare market.
Founded in 2025 by Ashish Mishra, Hitesh Dhingra, and Bhisham Bhateja, the company integrates technology, dermatology, and personalised skincare. Puresta plans to offer AI-led skin diagnostics, dermatologist-formulated products, clinical validation, and progress tracking for individual users.
Strategic acquisition of SKINQ
Ahead of launch, Puresta acquired SKINQ, a D2C skincare brand founded by Dr. Chytra Anand in 2021. The acquisition brings SKINQ’s clinically validated formulations and expertise into Puresta’s AI-powered platform, strengthening product offerings.
Puresta will combine SKINQ’s dermatologist products with AI diagnostics to deliver personalised, results-driven skincare regimens at scale. The platform aims to serve consumers who value science-backed skincare over trend-driven products in the Indian market.
Investor confidence and market trends
Spring Marketing Capital’s lead investment reflects increasing investor interest in technology-enabled consumer brands and clinically validated D2C ventures. Spring Marketing previously backed SKINQ and other D2C brands like FAE Beauty, Juicy Chemistry, Cava Athleisure, and Lucira.
Founders Dhingra and Bhateja built The Man Company, a successful men’s grooming brand acquired by Emami Group in 2024. They also contributed to startups like TrulyMadly and Letsbuy, adding entrepreneurial credibility to Puresta’s growth strategy.
Puresta plans to launch its integrated platform soon, offering diagnostics-to-results solutions powered by AI and dermatology expertise. The startup targets a customer base that prioritises measurable outcomes, clinical validation, and personalised routines over generic products.
Technology and convergence
By combining technology and dermatology, Puresta aims to redefine skincare experiences and set a new standard in India. This model reflects the emerging trend of healthcare and beauty convergence, with tech-enabled solutions leading consumer adoption.
Puresta’s approach positions it to compete with international D2C skincare brands while leveraging India’s growing AI and wellness ecosystem. The startup’s focus on science-backed products and personalised care addresses rising consumer expectations in India’s modern skincare market.
Scaling to meet consumer demand
Investors and founders expect the platform to scale rapidly, serving urban and Tier 2 city consumers seeking effective skincare solutions.
