Skin Square Clinic has opened in Guwahati, offering advanced skin and hair treatments to residents across Northeast India. The clinic aims to expand access to modern dermatological care and reduce the need for patients to travel to larger metropolitan cities.
Wide range of dermatology services
The clinic launched at Christian Basti and provides a wide range of dermatology, aesthetic, and hair transplantation services. The facility combines modern medical technologies with specialist expertise to address common skin and hair concerns.
Meeting growing regional demand
According to experts present at the inauguration, the clinic fills a growing demand for advanced dermatological services in the region. Many patients from the Northeast previously travelled to metro cities to access treatments such as laser therapy and hair transplantation. The new facility seeks to make those procedures more accessible locally.
Dr Pankaj Adhikari, Head of the Department of Dermatology at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, highlighted the significance of the development. He said the establishment of a modern private dermatology clinic in Guwahati will save patients time and money. The facility allows people to access advanced procedures without leaving the region.
Laser technologies
The clinic features several advanced laser technologies designed to treat a range of dermatological conditions. One of the main devices includes the VEGA laser system, a dual-wavelength hair reduction technology developed in Israel. The system aims to provide painless hair reduction suitable for different skin types.
Other technologies available at the clinic include the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser for tattoo removal and pigmentation issues, as well as CO₂ laser technology to address scars and other skin irregularities.
Skin rejuvenation
The facility also offers aesthetic treatments such as hydrafacial and oxyfacial procedures. These treatments focus on skin rejuvenation and overall skin health. The clinic plans to expand its treatment portfolio as demand for aesthetic dermatology grows in the region.
Support from public figures
Public figures and local leaders attended the clinic’s launch. Ashok Kumar Singhi, chairman of the Assam Government Marketing Corporation Ltd, said the clinic will benefit patients from across Northeast India. He noted that Guwahati already serves as a major healthcare hub for the region. The addition of specialised dermatology services strengthens the city’s medical infrastructure.
Singer and actor Richa Bharadwaj also spoke at the event, praising the clinic’s service quality and emphasising patient trust and confidence.
Combining clinical dermatology with aesthetics
Dermatology clinics in the region increasingly combine clinical dermatology with aesthetic treatments. Facilities like the Skin Square clinic offer procedures ranging from laser therapy to hair restoration treatments. These services aim to address both medical and cosmetic concerns.
Meeting future demand in Northeast India
Healthcare experts believe demand for dermatology and aesthetic procedures will continue to grow in Northeast India. Clinics equipped with modern technologies and trained specialists are expected to play a key role in meeting that demand.
